Roses are beautiful in general; the complexity, the "ruffles", the feel, the sensuality. A rose is almost like a gorgeous dress. But a yellow rose. Now that's special.
That reminds me. In English, we were discussing the color of yellow. Apparently, there's a dozen different interpretations. What is yellow to you?

Dude and Dudettes, it was Halloween yesterday. I'm loaded with candy. Completely satisfied.

Oh and I wanted to share the picture that inspired my self-portrait a few posts back.

I'm finally sixteen today. I really didn't do much. I had work today, so I couldn't have celebrated till lunch. My friend got me this big-ass watch with these Asian fishies on the top. :)

We went to the Irvine Spectrum afterwards; I wanted to get some new shoes. (For Love had these very cute booties, but they didn't have my size...

Instead I got a cross necklace that I've always wanted and a wooden ring for my mom. We've spent more money on food than anything else.

P.S. Happy early birthday to my mom. She's turning 42 tomorrow. :D

If only...

I could get anything I want for my birthday... these necessities would be it.

Well... little me is growing up. Just finished my SAT's today. Now that's an accomplishment. Now all I have to do is bring my grades to an Asian-unsatisfactory 'B'. A C would bring my Statistics grade up; yep, that's how bad my grade in that class is.
On a more cheerful note, one of my mom's friends brought some wonderful vintage tweed vests (like the one I'm wearing now), skirts, and blazers for (originally for my mom to wear) me. This vest is absolutely classic. I don't know how to describe it, but it's actually a patchwork of different black deigns, and not a solid black vest. Also, unlike other vests, it's not a button up, but it actually zips up, so for some odd reason, it almost looks like a bustier.
Wow, my brain is really on freeze mode today; I can't even describe things properly.

This is a self-portrait using charcoal and color-pencil. I decided to create a rather somber photo of myself; I think it turned alright for my first successful self-portrait.

What a Character.
