Ready for the rain when it's sunny outside.

Blazer (A-list), Purple Knit-Dress (vintage), Black Skinny Jeans (Wetseal), White Scarf, White Zipper Sneakers, Flower Umbrella (vintage)
Don't you hate it when it's cold the day before, so you'll like "Oh... it'll be cold tomorrow". But no... you live in Cali, where the weather is never predictable. It just happened to be sunny-bright Cali the next day... and you'll wearing your warmest dress, a scarf, and your tightest jeans.

Spring Cleaning

Winter is almost gone... spring is almost here.

Time for some soft pastels and rosy petals.

Fab style comes with fab legs.

Possibly, the reason I like her so much is that my style is very similar to hers. Graphic shirts tucked into skirts. Menswear jackets paired with dresses. Standout details. Vintage style. Oxford-inspired shoes. Or all the clothes I wish I had in my closet.
Side Note: Did you know she was half-Chinese (like me! Only 50% more)? Doesn't look too much of it, but last name sure does.

Some time ago.

Plaid Vest (made by mom), Black Knit Dress (Zutopia), Yellow Gold Belt

Black Asymmetrical Zipper Jacket (Charlotte Russe), Grey Jumper (made by mom), Vintage Tights

Vintage Tights

Grey Jumper (made by mom), Blue Belt w/ Studs (Kohl's)

White Knit Jacket, Grey Jumper (made by mom), Blue Belt

My mom is brilliant at making fab basics. The grey jumper is completely designed, cut, sewn, tailored by her. I gave her the idea and ta-da! It has a pocket in the middle and kinda like a big tank.

The plaid vest was cut out of a plaid dress. It was too small for me, so we decided to either make it into a skirt or a vest. Mom told me it wouldn't look good as a skirt, so we made it into a vest.

P.S. These are a couple weeks old pics; kinda forgot about them.

Let's make a fashion statement.

This is how we do...
Let's pretend Isaac Mizrahi is making a fashion statement.

In Fall 2009, we will carry our bags on our heads.

On an impulse.

Plaid jacket (Wetseal Collection $7), White "Oh Snap Tee" (Wetseal $3), DIY Bleached Light Blue Jeans (Forever 21), Black strappy heels (Sonoma), DIY Yellow Camera necklace
Had to "ruin" something that day. "Ruined" my light blue jeans. They were getting a bit too boring.
Got mixed reviews when I worn them at school. What was interesting though was that the guys commented on them the most. One told me he "loved" my jeans, and another told me that it looked like I ji--ed all over them. Great...
P.S. My camera-necklace is one of those clicky/slideshow necklace. You know... you click on this button and when you look inside it there's pictures?
You can see marine animals in it. (There's alot of debate whether this one animal is an ocra or a whale. I think he/she looks like Shamu.)

Wise people do stupid things.

After the 4-day weekend, the whole school was covered with these... "graffiti"? It was strange though, because all the phrases were like proverbs and spiritual sayings. The very next day, I brought a camera to take pictures of these (couldn't capture all of them, because some were already erased by the time I got there).

They are clever words (I guess... if you were a hippie) and they're not at all disturbing or foul... but...
1) If you hate school so much... why would you go on a weekend to spray paint stuff on the walls?
2) You paid for the spray paint... and now you'll pay for the damage... and later on you'd have to pay because the school's budget would go to negative.

Education or Indoctrination

P.S. The reason some were cut off is because I wasn't far enough to take the whole phrase and others were in very cramped spaces so it was hard to take pictures.

Cause designers are 3 seasons ahead of us.

Yep... it's fall already... in fashion world.

Preen: Cutout remains strong... yeah! But dare I say this? I like these even better than last Alexander Wang's show.

Chris Benz: I love the model (although a bit too tiny for my taste). Love the colors... the the rainbow-paint splatter dresses. And is it just me or do I feel the Twiggy/Edie Sedgwick vibe?

Let's play dress-up.

This new site called "Looklet" has got me addicted for a collective 2 hours.
Cheers to Fashion Squad for being the fashion editor to Looklet!
To put it simply, Looklet can be so much fun that you end up "playing" till 2 am in the morning.
I do wish they had more shoes.

Wear kid, be kid.

Pink knit jacket, black houndstooth dress (forever 21), white tights, pink flats (Payless)
The pink jacket was hand-knitted by my grandma; it used to be mine... now it's my sister's. I decided to reunite with it for a day.

Valentine comes with roses.

First off... Happy Valentine's Day everybody! Couples--may this day be the best day of your relationship. Singles--this is your chance to PARTY!
