Go ahead. Laugh at my drawing. This is what happens when it's summer and you're still taking 9-5 classes. I was extremely productive during math class today, attentively nodding at all the right moments and copying just enough notes to show mi madre.
In the past few months, I have been enthralled by the beautiful Ms.Nguyen. My words will be confirmed when I say, "What a stunning asian!" (I believe she is either Vietnamese or Korean just by her last name but I can't be certain. She sometimes writes in a language other than English, which I believe is Norwegian.) She exudes such creativity and sensuality. I can infer that she's about the same age as me, but her photos seem so much more mature than what my own Jurassic-Park age camera can show.

So,throughout the 3-hour math session, I started sketching with a my trustable Staples mult-colored inky pens that I bought for $3 for a pack of 12. Before I got too smart, I realized that I would run out of ink by the end of the class period. I rarely continue what I doodle in class, but this time, when I got home, I grabbed the first art supplies I saw at hand, which was... Twistable Crayola crayons. I went old-school. Basically, I finished my amatuer portrait of a lovely lady with pens and crayons. :)

P.S. I don't know why I made her hair with so much oomph, and I know that her head is a bit deformed, but I definitely did not mean to. It's quite difficult to draw a person when you don't have the exact picture at hand. Once I saw the photo side by side with my drawing, I went OH.... shit. Still... oh well.... hey. No regrets, right?

Maybe it's superstition, but the fluncuating weather and the capricious temperature swings has really got me wondering whether or not 2012 is the year.
I have my own little theory about that. I believe that us humans will get in a frenzy. The frightened will get their thongs and tightywhities in a twist and spend spend spend waste waste waste then go on a killing spree. The sane will prosper on.

Or maybe I just know too much thriller, apolyptical movies.

Heard Inception was insane. I don't know if I should look it up on Wikipedia and spoil everything or bribe someone to give me $10.

P.S. I am currently reading The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. One of the best reads ever. One of those books that make you visualize every single scene. I am a very visual person so whatever I read or hear I form this "movie clip" in my head. I don't know if it's because I barely ever watch movies or TV, so maybe my brain is cries "I am going disillusional by the lack of entertainment". As I am "aging" to my adult years, my dad and I are figuring out what I should do in the future. I'm thinking of adding director to my laundry list of careers.

P.P.S. I 110% SUPPORT YOU, BAREFOOTED BANDIT!

I apologize for my lack of "decent" outfit posts, but when you come home at 6 everyday, and still have a shitload of crap you have to do. When I do get the chance to go out, I just enjoy the little time I have to relax. I should be taking photos though, because most of the people I hang out with graduated this year. In a month or so, I'll probably never see any of them ever again. (Hear me cry.) I love being the youngest in the group, but sometimes it sucks.

To make up my lack of posts, this post is dedicated to some inspirational, makes-me-smile styling and editorials. (First photo is from J-Crew's amazing few seasons-ago collection.) Whenever I think of summer or spring, I think of of love-birds getting hitched. Everyone seems to love having their weddings in the months of June-August. This post is to my newlyweds. Hope your wedding never end up like Tiger Woods'... but if it does, might as well... cause I heard Elin is getting nearly $200 million flipping dollars. That's a lot of Louboutins.

The Looks

I do have to say, I'm pretty psyched to have both my lookbook and am featured on looklet. I recieved the email last week from looklet mag and I emailed them 5 seconds after, "OF COURSE!"

Anyhoo, there's a bit of an American theme here. Preps and Kemp Muhl? Both very USA. To be honest, I wasn't too sure who Kemp Muhl was when I they asked me to do a look based off of her, but after looking her up, I was pretty envious. What a face, what a body, what a rocker boyfriend, what a style! Immediately, I started feeling her love for hats, and everything vintage (that seems familiar). So 1/2 happy day for me.

The other half... well, I failed my AP Stats test (the legit one). Passed the AP Lang one with a decent score of 3. Where the F$$$ is my Asian skills?

Gingham Dress (made my mom), Green Polo Shirt (Boy's)

Just realized, this is my 200th post. Yikees! Maybe I'll do a giveaway (since they are all the rave these days) when I get the chance.
Anyhoo, Happy belated July 4th! On July 3rd, my friends and I had a little surprise party for my friend who just turned 18. I spent the whole time mourning over how all of them were leaving me for college next year. (The birthday girl is going to Cal Tech. Effing asian.) I didn't get the chance to get out my camera, but I thought I took some pics, but I guess there was something wrong with my flash so, I guess apparently not? Beach pics are so pretty though. Maybe I'll steal some from Facebook. But the outfit that I'm wearing here is basically what I wore to the beach. I assumed that the weather would be fine, so I didn't bring any extra clothes... turns out it would get close to 50 at 8 o'clock. Sometimes, I hate California.

I tried to take some pictures of the fireworks on Independence Day, but my nearly retired camera didn't quite go off at the right times. I caught them just as they were dying out. Plus, half of my photos had some couple's head in them.

Still, Happy July 4th/5th everybody. Everyone has a July 4th/5th, so celebrate!
