We Are What We Create.

Just wanted to share some of my artwork that I did in these couple of bizarre weeks. I am, however, getting very lazy on outfit posts. Lo siento. I don't know why. Just can't seem to get the drive. Although, in defense to my laziness, I am running on a rather busy schedule. I'm currently juggling school, a job, an afternoon class, projects, volunteer work/internship, my portfolio and stressing over "how-in-the-world-am-I-getting-to-a-decent-college-with-my-grades". I'm really trying to get all A's this semester. (It's killing me now that I have twice the workload than I did last semester. I really wished I didn't slack off the last 2 years of high school.)
I do love my volunteer work at this thrift store. They provide the nicest things (even designer labels! I saw this purple Christian Dior Suit for $29!); I also feel great whenever I work there. The money they get is donated to the American Cancer Fondation. (If anyone lives close to Southern California and is wondering, it is called The Discovery. I will post the address if anyone asks.)

P.S. Congratulations to Coco Rocha! She's starting her new line and is getting married! There's so many marriages coming, it's crazy!

P.P.S. My heart goes out to the citizens of Chile and Haiti. God bless you all.

Whoever said laziness runs in the family is obviously just looking for a terrible excuse. Laziness just runs in my genes. Everyone else is incredibly Asian.

So much catching up to. Good news. Got a voluteering job at a thift store for the 120 hours I need for my intership for that surprisingly tiring fashion class I'm taking this semester. Bad news. I'm going to be dead broke when I'm done. And I need to do 7 hours a week on top of my job on top of my school work on top of me "studying" for those darn SAT subject tests. Then there is my phone dying out on me. Old news. Technology still hates me. I should say that it has no soul, but that's plain fact if it was made by humans (too emo? sorry). Ironically, this is is how I get my fashion fill everyday.

P.S. Still have a gazillion more pics from Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day. We visited this lovely petting zoo that could be my dream wonderland.

Steal Now, Love Forever.

I can't afford to buy some expensive, designer bag. They look beautiful, but with their hefty price, there's no way I'll be getting one anytime soon. That being said, I've been needing a nice sack that is both practical and chic. I'm one of those peeps who brings everything with them, even if it is to go grocery shopping. That's why I need something that has as many compartments as possible in order to hold all my crap in.

Second, because I bring everything with me, I tend to lose one or two items. I should have accumulated 10 or so sunglasses over the years... if I didn't lose one everytime I buy another one. I've been loving those cat-eye and round-frame sunglasses. Love them big. With my awkwardly squarish-roundish face, teeny tiny glasses don't suit me well. I've never tried on square sunglasses before (was afraid to), but those Marc Jacobs ones look extremely appealing.

P.S. I wanted to humor you guys with a very funny Asian-F.O.B. conversation I had with my mom last night...

Mom: Uurrgh. Jennie, your lipstick makes you look like Jackel Michealson
Me: Jackel Michealson?!!!
Mom: Yes, Jackel Michealson! With your hooker-bright lips... that's what you look...
Me: Micheal Jackson!
Mom: Micheal... oh.
*We couldn't stop cracking up after that.*

B.t.w., I just bought the M.A.C. Hipster lipstick. I've been needing a dark violet lipstick, I jumped to the chance when I saw that it was 50% off. M.A.C. is one of my favorite brands of lipsticks. The color is so bright and stays on forever! My only problem with it is that I can't take it off!

Black Jacket (H&M Divided), White Shirt (Unicorn Fair), Gold Necklace (sample sale), DIY Bleached Jeans (Forever 21), Combat Boots
Ever since my friend called these jeans "cum-jeans", I've started to wear them less and less. Don't you hate it when you get influenced from other people? You just want to smack yourself.
Anyhoo, I was extremely hungry after my one-hour on the treadmill. I have no clue why. Trying to hold my appetite back though. Have you seen my unsightly gut these days? Uuurgh... this close to looking like I have a beer belly. It does make sense though. I haven't really have had many full meals in the past two days... but I've been snaking like crazy on chocolates and chips. Stupid Valentine's candy.
Edit: P.S. Alexander McQueen died today, February 12, 2010, at the young age of 40. Bless his soul. He and his designs were a complete talented visionary.

Indian-inspired shirt (vintage), Black Long Skirt (secondhand), Combat Boots, White Coat (made by mom)
How I long to shop. I had nothing to do for the past 2 days. Semester is done. ACT is done. No car to drive in. No license. Too lazy to call anyone. How I long to live life as a teenager.
Oh, I did go to LA today for my back. The chiropractor basically bended my back. Schliosis is a pain. I bought these cute little pantyhose from an extremely cheap convenience store. However, I left my jacket there. *Sigh* (Not the one that I'm wearing here... if I lost that, I think I would be sobbing my eyes out by now.)
Stop mooching around Jennie. Sheesh.

Uurrgh, I had finals all week, so I have yet to get back to the dealio of things. Also, my ACTs are on Saturday. We have Friday off, so while everyone is partying and getting drunk, I'm at home studying my brains off. Lovely.

In the meantime, please enjoy these crazy, radical, beautiful drawings, makeup, and photography.
