Oh My Mama.
Hate him or love, you gotta admit. The guy has charisma. The Obamas are the closest to political celebrities since the Kennedys and the beautiful Princess Diana.

Cubes and Tubes.
Beige Shirt (French Laundry), Floral Shirt (H&M), Black High-Waisted Shorts (Whale), Gemmed Sandles
On Wednesday, I went to Legoland with my whole family. My little sis and I were little daredevils, so we went onto all the "scary" rollercoasters. (I have a weak stomach, so spare me some empathy.) My dad blamed his "cowardly-ness" on his high blood-pressure and my mom... well, sometimes she can't even ride in the backseat of a car without feeling queasy.
Those Lego builders are amazing! All those giant sculptures are made of legos! Even that random elephant!
Despite the wonderful cubical landscapes... I never knew Legoland was so expensive! We spent nearly $250 on that day! (Face it... Asians are pennypinchers.)
P.S. Did you know that Legoland has its own aquarium? I'll post some photos of some beautiful jellyfish later.

Blow to the Wind.
Red Plaid Jacket (Wetseal Collection), Black Plaid Shirt (hand-me-down), White Button Down shirt (G2000), Black Pants w/ feathers (vintage), White Converse
Feathers! Seriously. Right at the bottom of the pants. That's how awesome they are.
A little change of topic. My friend likes to tease me on how I never wear pants. As much I adore anything denim, my go-to-basic is definitely not jeans. Too me, they are a bit... restricting. I really can't do the splits properly without putting a hole through the crotch. I haven't worn a nice pair of wide leg pants, since I was 8 (when I still looked good in them). I'm stuck with the (hate to say this) popular trend of skinny jeans. And now that bleached and acid-wash is back in tow... I'll end up looking like another "wannabe rocker chick".
So to get to the point, these pants are awesome. I can probably do the splits if I had the ability to do so. And the feathers have the perfect excitement factor that I need. Thanks mom!
P.S. I would take a close-up but I have a sucky ol' digital camera (unlike the other bloggers w/ their rad brilliant photographer camera) that I've dropped a dozen times.
P.P.S. Going to Legoland tomorrow! I haven't been to an amusement park in 2 years and a half.

Edginess Gets To You.
Am I too late? I honestly didn't know till yesterday. Mum and Dad had some of their friends over so I spent the whole afternoon looking at style blogs. At first I thought it was a bit strange. Style.com did this collage about her a few days ago, and since I'm lazy, I didn't read their commentary. Then I see this huge boom in searchers for Daul Kim. I was like, What the F is going on?
Then I see someone post RIP Daul Kim on their style blog. Oh sh....
So I googled her name, and... here I am.
Damn. It still haven't hit me yet. The feeling comes back just like when MJ mysteriously died. I've always knew she was a bit different from the rest of the models. Very dark. Very mysterious. Smile was beautiful yet a bit feigned.
I'm not going to go to details about her death. That's for the doctors to decide.
Daul was remarkably beautiful. Bless her dearly.

Possessed by Idiocracy
Red Hawiaan Shirt (vintage), Black Zipper Vest (vintage), White Skirt-cut from dress (Forever 21)
I never got to show off my hugeass Sweet 16th balloon. It's still flailing around in my room. I wonder if I can blow it up again so I can keep it forever.
I still want some Doc Martens but since I see so many punks wearing them at school, I feel reluctant now. Not that I have anything against punks (I love their style), but I hate to be that trend-follower. Maybe I'll get them in yellow. No one has yellow Docs... yet.
Now that I'm working and getting some moo-lah for myself, I afford to buy stuff. Hopefully, I don't more than I earn.

There are Roses in the Rain.
Grey Coat (H&M), Purple Dress (vintage), White Scarf (hand-me-down), Black Belt (garage sale), Rose Umbrella (vintage)
This dress is a bit ill-fitting, but it's extremely warm (despite it's high hem) and it's perfect for the upcoming winter. I still don't quite how to wear it without lookling like I have the Christmas bulge.
P.S. This is how "vintage" the dress is. It's the same fabric of my old couch. That soft, cotton, plushy feeling? Just look at it! Still extra comfy though.

What is "Simple Glamour"?
She makes me jealous.
Sources: justjared, style.com
Some people hate her, some people love her. I absolutely ADORE her. I don't know why. Maybe it's cause she's small like me. Maybe cause she has the most photogenic smile. Maybe it's her perfectly eccentric style. Maybe cause she has the chicest acting roles (come on, she got to play Edie Sedgwick!) Maybe cause she's just plain gorgeous.
Nevertheless... I'm green as envy over her.

Flower Princess.
White Faux Fur Coat (made my mom), Grey Shirt (Elle), Printed Skirt (Wetseal), Black Satchel (vintage)
Roses are beautiful in general; the complexity, the "ruffles", the feel, the sensuality. A rose is almost like a gorgeous dress. But a yellow rose. Now that's special.
That reminds me. In English, we were discussing the color of yellow. Apparently, there's a dozen different interpretations. What is yellow to you?
