This is a self-portrait using charcoal and color-pencil. I decided to create a rather somber photo of myself; I think it turned alright for my first successful self-portrait.

Garden of Names

Blue Striped Tank (Old Navy), White Skirt--cut from dress (Forever 21), Black Hat (flea market)Apparently the Huntington Beach Library has a gorgeous garden and this castle-like home. Apparently the Library isn't even a "library". It's a place for tourists and bride-to-be's.
The rose garden had to be my favorite parts... especially when my mom thought the names were actually the names of the plants...
Mom: Hmm... there's so many names! But the flowers all look the same.
Me: Mom, no one would name a plant "Rosie O' Donnell"... they're probably names of donors. The rest are all designer brands.
Just finished reading Huckleberry Finn... there's no point in education if you don't have common sense.

Once-a-year Days.

Did you know that September 05, 2009 Los Angeles was born? I had no idea. And I've been living 1 1/2 hours away from there for nearly half of my life.
In 2 days, I start school; I wanted to blow off some procrastination-steam so my family and I decided to go too Chinatown.
To be honest, we've spent just around 10 minutes in the actual town. For the rest of the 7 hours and 50 minutes, were spent on visting Chinese museums, huge planeterium, and watching these Spanish live performances. (Of course, we didn't quite understand a word they said. Hilariously, there were tons of Asian tourists there.) Quote from Asian dad: Learning something new everyday is truly the gratifying experiance. Oh boy. I just wanted to go shopping.
On another note, today's my parent's anniversary. September 6th. Funny thing, my mom never remembers this date, whereas my dad always does.
P.S. Did any of you guys know that there is a Mexicoland in San Diego? I thought that was just California. But of course, I would also have to say that for Chinatown.
