I do have to say, I'm pretty psyched to have both my lookbook and am featured on looklet. I recieved the email last week from looklet mag and I emailed them 5 seconds after, "OF COURSE!"

Anyhoo, there's a bit of an American theme here. Preps and Kemp Muhl? Both very USA. To be honest, I wasn't too sure who Kemp Muhl was when I they asked me to do a look based off of her, but after looking her up, I was pretty envious. What a face, what a body, what a rocker boyfriend, what a style! Immediately, I started feeling her love for hats, and everything vintage (that seems familiar). So 1/2 happy day for me.

The other half... well, I failed my AP Stats test (the legit one). Passed the AP Lang one with a decent score of 3. Where the F$$$ is my Asian skills?

Lookbook #13

Photobucket

Source: style.com, lookbook by me (jenhz)

Is anyone as sick of the LBD as I am? (I get obssessed with things easily, but also get sick of them just as easily.) I realize that it is a forever classic... but sometimes it can get so boring (my honest apologies to Coco Chanel). Once in awhile, we need something lighter (a shade lighter), something more fun, young...
In comes the LGD. No need to quote me when this becomes the second best acronym in the fashion dictionary. ;)

On another note, I donated blood today! They told me to not be involved in any "vigourous exercise for another 24 hours"... oops. I guess I shouldn't have walked a half-mile to work, come home at 7, forget dinner, and do an hour on the treadmill. Oh well, I never was too great at following directions anyway.

P.S. I had this lookbook forever on my style.com lookbook account, but marked as "private". In fact, this was the first or second (I forget) lookbook I have ever created. So this is old. I just changed the settings yesterday and was very surprised when they put it up today. Glad that the Vogue people like the LGD as well.

Style.com Lookbook #8 Times 2

Photobucket

I have always been obsessed with solid color items with the most intricate details. I find them much more interesting than garish and ornate clothing with too much going on. Clothing to me is like relationships or a movie. There is a fine line between making up and breaking up or recieving an Oscar or a Razzie. Sometimes, when something with some potential becomes too outlandish, there comes a time when the stop and pause button needs to be pressed.

They put up my "Over the Rainbow" lookbook again. I love it when designers inherit all the different colors into one dress or item... the result is always so magical.

Lookbook #12

Photobucket
Sources: style.com

Sorry that I keep posting these lookbook posts. Just excited that this lookbook got posted on style.com today. I'm so super excited for spring, you have no idea. Finally get to wear skirts and shorts without worrying about tights. Today was one of those days that I dressed for the wrong weather. On Monday, it was freezing and I only had one jacket on. Today (Wednesday) was 70 degrees and I wore this huge sweater and leggings. California weather bugs the crap out of me.

P.S. Now you can click on the lookbook, and it'll go directly to the lookbook.

Style.com Lookbook #1 the third time.

Photobucket Sources: jenhz on style.com

Third time this lookbook was posted on their front page. Purple is even one of my guy friend's favorite color. His whole closet is practically of this shade. But his sexuality is questionable...

P.S. If you want to visit the lookbook, just click on the photo.

Style.com Lookbook #11

Source: style.com
I made this lookbook out of a *insert random word*. I was looking at some runway shows and I realized how many double-toned outfits there were, so I just made a lookbook on it. I know, random right?
P.S. Terrible terrible thing happened to me in the past few days. My worst nightmare. My computer and hard disk completely crashed on me. Kinda my fault. Dad said there was no way that he'll be able to restore the files. So basically I lost EVERYTHING. All my documents, all my photos. Yes. Cry me a river. I'll explain more about the dreadful dealio later.
I don't want to sound like a drama queen, but this is quite terrible. Before, it was just a virus. However, we were at least able to retrieve the files and save it on a backup disk. Now, we can't even open the effing computer. *tears* I actually had some great shots of some vintagy stuff I would have liked to share...
P.P.S. On a happier note, it's my last week of SAT Boot Camp! (No kidding, it's actually called boot camp).
P.P.S. Oh and btw, I got my second wisdom teeth pulled out. MUCH MORE PAINFUL than the last one, let me tell you. I'm actually taking painkillers this time.
Dentist: We're going to prescribe you some painkillers.
Me: No need, I still have a bunch left from last time.
Dentist (questionably): How many did you take last time?)
Me: Like, 5?
*Dentist is in utter shock.*
My mom ran out to get me some painkillers, so I'm ok... for now.

Style.com Lookbook (#7)

My 7th lookbook that has been featured is called "Animal Instinct".
There has been quite a lot of fur, leather, and animal prints this season.
Fur can really glam something up (try to find faux because there's no way I am promoting to kill an animal for fashion).
Leather is perfect for some "tough-chic".
And you don't even need to kill anything for some animal prints; it can vary from zebra lines to an actual picture of a zebra--either way, it can add some great attention to a boring outfit.

Style.com Lookbook (#5)

Pop-art was huge in the sixties. It's now revisted by many designers. I get ecstatic when I see designers feature graphic designs on their clothing. I think it adds a unique, fun, and innoncent twist to their clothes. Graphic can range from crazy prints to "cartoon pics" to faces. (This is so wierd, because I actually don't wear a lot of graphic t-shirts, because that's not my sense of style; but when there's this really AWESOME print... I HAVE TO WEAR IT!)

Wow, I honestly can't believe that another one of my lookbooks would be featured (*cough*yes! And it's my 5th one!) For a week, http://www.style.com/ didn't update anything (I think they were on break); right before that "break", my lookbook "Color Me Purple" was featured. (You can go to my previous website, http://www.girlstheme.com/ to view my previous lookbooks... :)) If you click on my username, jenhz, you will be able to see all my public lookbooks. The past lookbooks that were featured (in this order were) "White and Black Affair", "Menswear Inspired", "My Big Fat Bow" (which they featured as "Take a Bow"), "Color Me Purple", and now "My Graphic Love". We'll see if there'd be a six... :)
