Little Red Riding Dress

Black Military Jacket (H&M), Red Dress w/ Buttons (vintage), Brown Belt (vintage), Heart Sunglasses (Wetseal), Navy Socks, Black Strappy Heels (Sonoma)
It's one those granny dresses that go straight down... so, I tucked it into a belt (seem to be doing that alot these days), grabbed an Eskimopie dark chocolate icecream/popsicle and walked outside.
All hail Sophia and Peter.
Put such a beautiful spin on metallics, leather, and the sheer fabric. Soft and feminine mixed with hard rock edge.
Peter Pilotto Fall 2009 Ready-t0-WearLove this mix with patterns and the fluttery feathers. It's the perfect palette for spring fahsion.

I rode elephants not ponies.

Fake-fur coat (made my mom), Paisley-print dress (vintage), silver belt (sis), dark brown combat boots (Mudd), cable-knit ankle socks
The dress goes down to my ankles, so I shortened it by tucking it into the silver belt. I also added some creases on the top of the dress by clipping with a (bow) clip.
P.S. The unicorn sings when you hit him on the head (or squeeze his nose)!

All because of a Spanish project.

I dug these up for this project ("family memory book") for Spanish; wasn't I just adorable?
Back when I was a single child, I was quite the spoiled one. Definitely mischievous and the Miss-Little-Prim-Princess. I dressed in dresses and skirts (some handmade my mama and nainai (grandma in Chinese)), but acted like a boy. I had a lot of playmates that were boys, and one-two galfriends.
1. My grandpa would take me on his bicycle to ride round-and-round park. (Back in Shenzhen China). Part of the reasons why I was spoiled was because of my grandparents. Because I was the youngest and the "newest" addition to the Zhu/Huang (mom's side), they primmed me up so much that I wouldn't even bother to walk when I was outside... I knew someone would always carry me.
P.S. If you can see me, I have these 2 pigtails on the back of my head (tied w/ red barrettes). I think my mom had way too much fun tying my hair up in different styles, because I had the craziest hairstyles when I was little.
2. Back in Canada. I think this was within the 1st few months there. My dad told me that I fell down a ditch right after that picture was taken...and let go of me.
3. My 3rd birthday. I was born on October 24, 1993; however, back in China, people celebrate their b-day by the Lunar Calendar. That's why the photo was dated on November 12, 1996.
P.S. Couldn't blow out the candles myself... so I had to get help.
4, 6, 7. One of those random running-around-the-house in my pink nightie with my toys.
5. My 3rd Christmas. All dressed up in my traditional Chinese uniform with the most awesomest headband on my head.
P.S. I might scan some more pictures of mini-me' outfits later... my mama made me the cutest little dresses! Also, there might be some pictures of young-mum, who was quite the fashionable doll.

Random guy in a Striped Suit (part of the Guys and Dolls)

Last (Friday thru Saturday) weekend, I attended the Fullerton College Festival for drama; some crazy stuff.
Overall, it was a fun weekend; plenty of lows, but later balanced with some highs. (Sorry, to be so negative).
I had some interesting stuff said to me... don't want to go to detail now, but ehh... maybe it's cause I'm soooo Asian, right?
At night on Friday, we all got to watch Guys and Dolls... AMAZING! I watched the movie before, so I knew what the whole play was about; nevertheless, it was still wonderful watching it as a musical. I thought the cast did a spectacular job. (Plus the main male characters were so incredibly good-looking... Alexander Makardish, who played Sky Masterson, is beyond dreamy.)
Makes me want to watch the movie and the musical again, and do an analysis on that (instead of some English book we have to read for... English.)
And on Saturday, I walked around with a bucket full of candy and on the front it said "Free Candy in Exchange for Friendship". Met so many new and nice people! Got bunches of hugs :).
