Watercolor pencils

I was frustated last night, so I decided to draw again. Definitely not my best work because that's one fugly creature. Nonetheless, that's 10 minutes well spent. Felt like I could wrestle a lion with complete calm.

P.S. Thought m'lady looks better in black and white so I messed around on the computer.

Behind those Diamond Eyes

Portrait by me of Behind the Seams (click on photo to direct yourself to her blog)
I'm proud to display by lovely gut from eating too much mac and cheese at Legoland. Blame it on the Buffet for Kids. I developed an outrageous tan from those sandles. Because it is summer and I have no flats and sandles that fit me properly, I am forced to wear them when it is above 75 degrees. (I don't find the point in wearing shoes anyways, since I always come with shoes but never have them on. I'm so much content on being the lonebarefoot in a crowd of shoes.)
Anyhoo, I did a pen/watercolor drawing of the absolutely beautiful Miss Tran of Behind the Seams. Check out her lovely DIYs! Such simple and easy instructions. And her elegant and stunning makeup are eyegasms.
P.S. I don't know if this is healthy for my ears... but I have had Eminem's Recovery album on repeat for the last 24 hours every day of last week. I'm not a fervent fan of rap and can never declare myself an expert. However, unlike some, the make-or-break factor in music for me is the lyrics. Granted, Eminem has overused his angry tone and drugged-up nights as themes for practically every song he has ever released, but for some reason, this album is particularly good. Most comeback albums are "Hello world! I'm back! Imma start hitting platinum again! Buy my new album!" No, Slim Shady is more like "F$$$ the world. Imma back and Imma make up for the wait."
And it's slightly creepy how his new music video "Love the Way You Lie" is so similar to the way I imagined it. Although, I didn't understand the concept of putting Eminem in a cornfield. That was a bit randomly strange to me.

Go ahead. Laugh at my drawing. This is what happens when it's summer and you're still taking 9-5 classes. I was extremely productive during math class today, attentively nodding at all the right moments and copying just enough notes to show mi madre.
In the past few months, I have been enthralled by the beautiful Ms.Nguyen. My words will be confirmed when I say, "What a stunning asian!" (I believe she is either Vietnamese or Korean just by her last name but I can't be certain. She sometimes writes in a language other than English, which I believe is Norwegian.) She exudes such creativity and sensuality. I can infer that she's about the same age as me, but her photos seem so much more mature than what my own Jurassic-Park age camera can show.

So,throughout the 3-hour math session, I started sketching with a my trustable Staples mult-colored inky pens that I bought for $3 for a pack of 12. Before I got too smart, I realized that I would run out of ink by the end of the class period. I rarely continue what I doodle in class, but this time, when I got home, I grabbed the first art supplies I saw at hand, which was... Twistable Crayola crayons. I went old-school. Basically, I finished my amatuer portrait of a lovely lady with pens and crayons. :)

P.S. I don't know why I made her hair with so much oomph, and I know that her head is a bit deformed, but I definitely did not mean to. It's quite difficult to draw a person when you don't have the exact picture at hand. Once I saw the photo side by side with my drawing, I went OH.... shit. Still... oh well.... hey. No regrets, right?

Remember You.

I finally uploaded my little sister's portrait that I drew. I used pencil, colored pencil, and charcoal. She's much older now; the original photo was from an outing 5 years ago.

P.S. I went to see Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and Ghostwriter. AIW was surprisingly touching, adorable, quirky, and a fabulous take on Disney's animated version. The new movie was more of a sequel than a Tim Burton remake. Ghostwriter was a bit twisted and very slow moving. It was one of the movies that is "too-smart-for-the-normal-brained". Acting was superb in both movies. My friend and I did sneak in to see The Last Song because SHE was curious. Miley Cyrus's overbite was much bigger than I could have ever imagined.

Just wanted to share some of my artwork that I did in these couple of bizarre weeks. I am, however, getting very lazy on outfit posts. Lo siento. I don't know why. Just can't seem to get the drive. Although, in defense to my laziness, I am running on a rather busy schedule. I'm currently juggling school, a job, an afternoon class, projects, volunteer work/internship, my portfolio and stressing over "how-in-the-world-am-I-getting-to-a-decent-college-with-my-grades". I'm really trying to get all A's this semester. (It's killing me now that I have twice the workload than I did last semester. I really wished I didn't slack off the last 2 years of high school.)
I do love my volunteer work at this thrift store. They provide the nicest things (even designer labels! I saw this purple Christian Dior Suit for $29!); I also feel great whenever I work there. The money they get is donated to the American Cancer Fondation. (If anyone lives close to Southern California and is wondering, it is called The Discovery. I will post the address if anyone asks.)

P.S. Congratulations to Coco Rocha! She's starting her new line and is getting married! There's so many marriages coming, it's crazy!

P.P.S. My heart goes out to the citizens of Chile and Haiti. God bless you all.

Uurrgh, I had finals all week, so I have yet to get back to the dealio of things. Also, my ACTs are on Saturday. We have Friday off, so while everyone is partying and getting drunk, I'm at home studying my brains off. Lovely.

In the meantime, please enjoy these crazy, radical, beautiful drawings, makeup, and photography.

A few days back I painted this portrait for the lovely Zanita. I emailed her this to her right afterwards. I said that I won't post it until she replied. However, because it has been more than 3 days, I've decided to post this instead, in hopes that she'll see it here.

P.S. There has been a bit of sabotage by a certain someone. I'll leave it there and let you guys find where.

P.P.S. By the way, this is done by watercolor. Not terribly well-done, but I only started drawing 5 months ago.

This is a self-portrait using charcoal and color-pencil. I decided to create a rather somber photo of myself; I think it turned alright for my first successful self-portrait.

Here's my latest artwork.

My art teacher gave me a reference... and I altered it a bit... a lot. I really wanted to create the "innoncent Eve". No one really knows what she looks like, but eh... here's my interpretation.

Amaturity

I'm taking a fashion art class... and here's my recent drawings...
I know I'm kinda amateur now, but let's see with time...
P.S. The drawings were too large... so when my dad was scanning them, he said that he'll have to cut the shoes off... kinda sad. They were my favorite part in the drawings.
